Comment: Rounds Bill And Redeployment

We have strongly supported Senator Rounds EB5 bill because it would effectively eliminate EB5 visa number limits. See: We Support Rounds EB5 Bill. But this bill has a defect in that it has no language about redeployment of EB5 capital. Including that language in the bill would give much needed clarity on redeployment to the EB5 industry. Making the currently effective TEA rules applicable to redeployment of EB5 funds would create thousands of rural jobs–which would be a boon to Senator Rounds’ state of South Dakota and its largely rural population. Perhaps Senator Rounds should consider adding redeployment language to his bill, with special emphasis on redeployment to rural projects.
