Federal Appeals
In many cases, a person has the right to appeal a removal order to the federal appeals court having jurisdiction over their case after receiving an adverse decision from the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”). This is done by filing a petition for review with the federal appeals court within 30 days. Attorneys Sarah Okuh and Jessica Larson are admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, which encompasses Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
