Attorney Cozart Martin met a client at a clinic and was so moved by his story that she assisted him with an affirmative asylum application after entering the US in November 2016.  She attended his interview and he was granted asylum. After the requisite wait, she then submitted the Adjustment of Status application in November 2020. In March 2023 the client was finally granted permanent resident status. We are thrilled for him to finally be able to safely settle in his new country, without fear of having to return to a place that was so hard for him.
