Special Immigrant Juvenile Status
Special Immigrant Juvenile Status is a route to qualifying for lawful permanent residency for children who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by one or both of their biological parents.
In order to apply for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, one must first have a custody order or dependency order that states it is not in the child’s best interest to return to their country of citizenship and reunification with one or both parents is not viable due to abandonment, abuse or neglect.
If approved for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, one can apply for lawful permanent residency. The attorneys at MJB Immigration can help you determine if you qualify for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
