Attorney Okuh worked with a single mother in removal proceedings to seek termination of her case in order to allow her to pursue adjustment of status before USCIS on the basis of an approved visa petition.  Although the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has significantly limited the number and types of cases in which it will exercise its prosecutorial discretion in Cleveland, Attorney Okuh was able to work with DHS to dismiss the client’s removal proceedings.  She will now be able to seek adjustment of status before USCIS along with her young child.
