Attorney Okuh was able to help an individual who came to the United States as a child to seek asylum.  The client was placed into removal proceedings, and her case had been pending for several years.  In the meantime, she continued to have a pending asylum application with USCIS due to the fact that she filed as a minor child.  With a hearing date quickly approaching, Attorney Okuh was able to work with DHS to get the immigration court case terminated so she can continue to pursue the asylum process with USCIS without the stress and expense of ongoing deportation proceedings.
