Attorney Ibara-Cech represented a client before the Cleveland immigration court in their asylum case. This client was from Cameroon and had been harmed due to his political opinion and the ongoing Anglophone crisis. Attorney Ibara-Cech attended two hearings and was able to work with the Department of Homeland Security to reach an agreement on the expert witness’s testimony to streamline the process and avoid the need to schedule any more hearings. At the end of the case, the Department deferred to the Court’s decision. The judge granted asylum.
