Following a consultation with a physician currently in J-1 status, attorney Michael Jolic at our San Diego office prepared a legal strategy that included applying for an O-1A visa petition. The client and her employer agreed and retained our office to work on the case. The petition was prepared and submitted to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. The petition was approved and the physician is now in the process of scheduling an appointment abroad for an O-1 visa. She will be able to secure an O-1 visa and return to the United States to work without needing a J-1 waiver.
