Adjustment of Status with the Cleveland Field Office
Attorney Andrea López took on a challenging case for adjustment of status through marriage. The foreign national beneficiary originally entered the United States on a visitor visa (B-2) with every intention of returning to his home country after a short family visit. However, there was a change of plans when he met the love of his life in the United States, and they decided to get married. While the beneficiary entered into a bona fide relationship, he and his wife had very little evidence to prove it on paper. Attorney López worked closely with her clients to discover unique ways of proving the validity of their relationship. This was no easy task as the beneficiary had no social security number, making it hard for him to establish assets and liabilities with his spouse. Utilizing her ingenuity, Attorney López, along with her clients, were able to gather sufficient evidence to receive a favorable outcome. Attorney López attended the interview with them and as a result, everything went well, and the foreign national client received his conditional green card shortly thereafter.
