Asylum from the Middle East
Client Y is from the Middle East and came to Attorney Jessica Larson after her asylum application was referred to the Immigration Judge by USCIS. Client Y had many problems in her country of origin due to her ethnicity, her religion, and her political opinion. Attorney Jessica helped Client Y to gather documents to support her asylum case and prepare for her individual hearing. Earlier this year (2022), the immigration court held a hearing for Client Y. At the end of the hearing, the Immigration Judge granted Client Y asylum and the government waived appeal. It was another long journey, but Client Y and her children are now asylees and can remain permanently in the United States where they are safe.
